Dear Readers,

“Smiling is the best way to face every problem, to crush every fear and to hide every pain…”

As I take over as the Editor in Chief of our prestigious specialty journal, humbled by the faith imposed in me, I promise to fulfill the aspirations of all who have striven hard to bring up the journal to the current position and to take it to greater heights with all my abilities.

Change in the education system is the need of the hour now… Traditional education focuses on teaching, not learning. It incorrectly assumes that for every ounce of teaching, there is an ounce of learning by those who are taught. However, most of what we learn is learnt outside the educational platform on our own, either by imbibing from our parents, elders, or peers. Most of what is taught in the classroom settings is often forgotten, and much of what is remembered is also irrelevant.

Successful people will always have three related abilities – the ability to work hard, the desire to do it, and the commitment to follow through on it.

Whenever faced with a problem, always look for a solution to the problem, and not look for someone or something to blame as a solution to that problem. Wise men, in difficult times, find the way, and the weak person, excuses. And by asking for guidance and directions when needed doesn't make you incapable or weak; in fact, it shows that you are strong enough to ask for help and advice when you have to.

There are always ups and downs in life; if today is a bad day, then remember one day will be a good time. Time passes; be like time that never gives up. Don't be afraid of struggles, because as you take them head-on, your confidence is enhanced. Don't be afraid of failures; they are arrows pointing the right direction. However, sometimes when you are in crisis, when frustrations are high or when you are under pressure, what you don't do is far more important than what you do!

In life, we must make it a priority to make our priorities a priority! There is a lesson in each experience; every failure is a stepping stone to success; every difficulty or disappointment is a trial of our faith; and every unpleasant incident or temptation is a test of our inner strength.
