In last few years there are serious breach in the relationship between doctors and patients. Overloaded health care systems both private and Government, over burdened doctors, ill or under equipped hospitals or clinic, under staffing in supporting systems included trained nurses, paramedical staffs - all add to the occasional failure of the system. Tremendous stress in day to day life style add to the violent and often unexplained behaviour of the friends and relatives of the patient. Unfortunately some part of the media does not play a constructive and supportive role. Over mushrooming social media with little verification of the truthfulness of the news and circulating old videos is adding to the problem.

The over expectation of a permanent cure in all medical problems irrespective of the age and actual condition of the patient has to be properly explained to the patient and patient party. Therein lies the role of counselling by the team of psychologist, psychiatrists and trained counsellor. The increasing gap between expectation and reality in the final result of the treatment has to be properly bridged. We all have to remember all personals in health care systems are human being with the occasional chance of failure. At the other hand the emotional state of the patient parties at that point of time are also very fragile. The need of a strict law is always there. But strict governance, proper support system and ultra cool and sympathetic heads will always score at the end.

Praying for sound health and inner happiness of all.
