A 1-day conservative dentistry and endodontics workshop titled "Masterclass on Clinical Endodontics" by eminent endodontist Dr. Venkat Canakapalli was organized by Dr. M. G. R. Educational and Research Institute University, Chennai in association with Indian Association of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics and Conservative and Endodontic Association of Tamil Nadu at Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Thai Moogambigai Dental College, Chennai on 27 th March 2015.
Venkat Canakapalli completed his bachelor's degree in Dentistry and Master's Degree in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics from the M. G. R. University in Chennai, India. Venkat moved to Tauranga, New Zealand in 2005. He is the founder member of the International Academy of Endodontics. He is the co-author of the textbook "Best Practices in Endodontics" due to release shortly.
Dr. Canakapalli presented two lectures titled "role of cone beam computed tomography in endodontic diagnosis and treatment planning" followed by "nonsurgical retreatment using endodontic microscope."
This informative program was attended by >125 delegates. Senior academicians and postgraduate students in the field of conservative dentistry and endodontics from various institutions enthusiastically participated in the academic deliberations.
